New Year, New Me??

So most of my close friends know I really have this unfulfilled creative side and I have a passion for interior design. I love to make things aesthetically pleasing. There's also this incredibly practical side of me that prevents me from taking the leap. Last year I was very grateful I had a great job (very stable and reliable) and I still need that great job for now. But the desire to make a career change has really grown since our move to Richmond. I'm ready to state as my goal to change careers to become an interior decorator! I don't know where this will take me but I am tired of sitting at a desk everyday and I am ready to change direction and follow a different path.

This does not mean I quit my job tomorrow (unless I win the lottery!) but I will begin pursuing this as my goal and I am looking forward to seeing if this is merely a hobby or if it turns into a complete career change. I'm ready to pursue something I am truly passionate about and quit just talking about it.

I even found a neat program at University of Richmond that I can hopefully take advantage of soon. I'll keep you posted. -- CP
